We're fun, we're creative and we're up late!The RoleThis is a permanent Full-Time position and it requires you to set an example in the kitchen with your exemplary cooking skills. This role is ideal for an inspired, hard working individual, with a commitment to high standards.Your main responsibilities include:Completing ordering and stocktaking to plan and manage food costsCreate rosters and managing wage costsMonitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationDiscussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staffDemonstrating techniques and advising on cooking proceduresPreparing and cooking food to a consistently high standardTaking ownership of the food control plan and ensuring all team members understand the cleaning standards and processes within the kitchenMentoring, training and development of your team to ensure they have a thorough understanding of how to complete their roleEnsure all food is prepped and portion controlled prior to service to ensure no food prep is required to be completed during serviceEnsuring clear communication between the kitchen, front of house and head officeWe are anticipating the role's hours to be at least 30 hours per week with a maximum of 60 hours per week.The PayWe're proud to offer a highly competitive pay rate of $32.00 to $34.00 per hour for this position.
