Head Chef

Jizo is Dunedin's busiest and most popular Japanese Restaurant, serving well over 250 covers on an average evening, and was voted one of New Zealand's best Japanese Restaurants on Neat Places.We are looking for a hard-working, honest, and reliable head chef with considerable experience working in fast-paced kitchens and a passion for the industry and serving quality cuisine. Our desired candidate will have a good sense of urgency, be a true leader, be organised, have a great temperament, and a good sense of humour.Previous experience working with Japanese cuisine would be of advantage; however, if you have experience and the right personality, this can be overlooked.This role is full-time, on a flexible roster, and will include evenings, weekends, and split shifts.We offer competitive rates based on candidates' experience, a carpark, a fun and friendly environment, and a team that will always have your back.Jizo is also closed for 2 weeks over Christmas.If you think you would be the perfect fit, email your C.V to ******.
