El Quincho is a welcoming, small restaurant designed to provide our customers with the well-known Argentine cuisine through Argentinian cooking styles with locally sourced products. The wood-fired grill adds to the atmosphere and offers an exciting and rewarding experience for customers.
Minimum of 35 hours per week.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:Maintain the menu and recipes for the establishment. Oversee and direct all aspects of the kitchen operation. Ensure that the quality of all food presented to customers meets establishment standards — providing maximum quality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wood and fire management
A minimum of 3 years kitchen experience;
Knowledge of cooking steaks preferred (temps, seasoning, timing, etc.)
Overall responsibility for the operation and organisation of all kitchen and food preparation areas during your shift;
Produce menus to the establishment's standard;
Spot check dishes as they leave the kitchen for quality, presentation, and temperature;
Ensure all equipment and work environments are operational;
Order and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operations;
Any other duties the employer may reasonably require;
Create daily orders for suppliers;
Keep Food Control Plan (FCP) updated.
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES TECHNICAL:
Knowledge of Argentinian cooking methods;
Computer skills: Microsoft Office;
Organizational and time management skills.
