Head Chef

Paname Social is a busy cafe, restaurant and wine bar located in the heart of the city, Auckland CBD.Open from 7am daily until 3pm on Sunday-Monday-Tuesday and late nights from Wednesday to Saturday.We are looking for a strong and motivated head chef who has the skills and experience to lead a kitchen team and is not afraid of challenges.Key Responsibilities:Overall responsibility for the operation and organisation of the kitchen.Plan and produce menus to the establishment's standard.Write recipes and cost all dishes (up to date).Maintain food and labour costs to the establishment's requirements.Manage all kitchen staff - impart knowledge, skills and training to all kitchen staff to ensure high standards.Spot check dishes as they leave the kitchen for establishment quality, presentation and temperature.Set policies and maintain standards for food safety and health safety in the kitchen.Order and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operations.Uphold morale in the kitchen.Ensure relationship between kitchen and front of house staff is of a high standard.We Offer:Full time contract - minimum 40 hours.Generous benefit across 4 venues in Auckland.Fantastic work environment.Minimum Requirements:3 years + experience in a chef role with a proven track record of delivering quality food at a high standard.Great knowledge of French Cuisine.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?Which of the following cuisine types do you have experience with?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?What's your expected annual base salary?
