Head Chef Wanted for Onehunga Café We are seeking a talented and dedicated Head Chef to lead our kitchen at Onehunga Café, a community staple with over 10 years of history. We are looking for someone who can bring innovation and expertise to the role. Key Responsibilities: Lead and inspire the kitchen team, setting high standards for quality, creativity, and efficiency. Develop and refine our menu with a focus on European-inspired cuisine while incorporating seasonal ingredients. Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including ordering, stock management, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Work collaboratively with management to ensure a seamless connection between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. Play a key role in supporting the café's continued evolution as a top restaurant. What We're Looking For: Strong leadership experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Proven expertise in European cuisine with the ability to adapt to seasonal and local ingredients. A positive, hands-on approach, leading by example. Availability to work every weekend and public holiday. Experience in menu development, cost control, and stock management.
