The Role We have four luxury restaurants and a functions kitchen at Millbrook Resort.
Our Head Chef - Functions is responsible for the successful execution of functions, weddings, conferences, and events.
The role is responsible for always providing outstanding service to all guests and ensuring menus and dishes are created to perfection.
We focus on being a part of a collaborative team, delivering a tailored five-star dining experience.
While this role is predominantly responsible for the smooth running of functions, it also supports the Executive Sous Chef in all aspects of Millbrook's Food & Beverage operation, ensuring that guest expectation levels are met and always exceeded, resulting in future return business.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef to lead by example and join the team.
This is a busy and rewarding work environment with plenty of variety and opportunities to push culinary boundaries.
Success Profile Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role and comparable environmentPrevious experience in Functions, catering for large numbers, cooking, and handling protein and fish preferablePrevious budgetary experienceProven management experience including training, demonstrating techniques, and advising on procedures preferableDesire and passion to cook with fresh quality ingredients sourced from local producersWillingness to always push culinary boundaries and learn new skillsAbility to work weekends and public holidaysExcellent food safety standardsDriver's Licence advantageousLocation: Arrowtown, Queenstown
Hours: Full time guaranteed 30/40 hours per week
