Be part of Auckland's exciting future and development.The Infrastructure and Place Division delivers transport infrastructure, customer-focused solutions, and seamless journeys across the city.Job Title: Head of Level CrossingThe successful candidate will lead a high-performing team managing delivery of the rail level crossing capital works programme.The programme includes pre CRL level crossing removals, Takanini level crossing grade separation, Future Tranches of level crossing programme, and Level Crossing Safety Impact Assessments (LCSIA).The team will work closely with Rail Services Group and Traffic Operations Group to minimise disruption, streamline customer communications, and achieve operational requirements.About the OpportunityOversight and leadership to ensure the successful delivery of the rail level crossing programme.Representing Auckland Transport on Rail Infrastructure Governance Groups and Project Alliance Boards.Collaborating across the organisation to achieve capital investment priorities and strategic outcomes.Developing rail level crossing project business cases with the support of the Transport Investment Team.Engaging with stakeholders including funders, elected representatives, industry representatives, and delivery partners.Leading the development and implementation of procurement strategies for rail level crossing projects.About YouTertiary Degree in Engineering, Planning, Management, Business or equivalent.Post graduate qualification in Engineering, Planning, Management or Business.Professional membership in relevant industry association.20 years' professional engineering management experience in complex transport infrastructure developments.15 years' experience in a leadership role.10 years' experience with rail infrastructure.About Our OrganisationAuckland Transport values diversity and inclusion, with a focus on building a workplace where people feel safe, respected, valued, and supported.
