Harewood Veterinary Hospital - Companion Animal Veterinarian - ChristchurchOrganisation/clinic: Harewood Veterinary HospitalPosition type: Companion Animal VeterinarianWe are looking for a motivated and friendly veterinarian to join our team at Harewood Veterinary Hospital.
Harewood Veterinary Hospital is a well-established small animal practice who pride themselves on giving great standards of care. We are a close-knit and caring team who work hard and enjoy a good laugh along the way.
Flexibility for part-time or full-time (30-36 hours per week). We believe in a healthy work-life balance, lets discuss what days/hours work for you.1:4 SaturdaysWe are closed on Sundays and public holidays.No regular afterhours or on-call. Our clients have access to the Christchurch After Hours Vet Centre who cover nights and weekends. We are part of their backup roster which usually results in 3-4 on-call shifts per year for each veterinarian.We take pride in providing a work and team culture that is supportive, respectful and professional so you can become the best veterinarian you can be. As such we provide the following that we know will contribute to yours and our current team's wellbeing.
Minimum 20-minute consultations (longer for euths/skin etc.). You will have time to better examine, communicate with clients, write notes as best you can without feeling "rushed."Daily 20-minute morning "surgical and communication rounds" so we all connect with each other, cover what's on and respectfully "check in" with each of us to see how we are doing/challenges etc.Dedicated daily scheduled appointment time (30-60 minutes) for you to follow up cases, talk to clients and review lab results.We do not expect or want you to work through your lunch break and encourage you to take it when allotted "guilt free."Dedicated hospital veterinary nurse for the patients you admit and your surgeries, giving you peace of mind that they receive the best standard of care.Experienced veterinary nurses and senior veterinarians, we encourage collegiate support and case discussion.
