We are looking for multi-skilled professionals who bring a broad range of talents to the table, to tackle both scheduled and reactive tasks to keep our commercial buildings and their surroundings in top condition.
A results-focused, energetic, and friendly person with experience in property maintenance to help us provide a safe, attractive and well-maintained environment in and around multiple sites.
You will have the use of a company vehicle, tools and phone.
With your background in building, maintenance, or practical handy work, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: General and routine preventative maintenance such as paint touch-ups, air con filter cleaning, lightbulb changing, electrical safety checks, minor plumbing issuesEnsure outdoor areas and gardens are tidy and well maintained, paths and external walls are clean and present well Undertake small repairs, light bulb changes etcRelay any items to the team, and advise if they need escalation to another specified contractorImplement preventative maintenance schedules and ensure tasks are completed in a timely mannerConduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure complianceSkills, experience and attributes we are looking for: Ideally you would have practical skills in a similar role, along with: Full drivers licence and ability to work in NZ Knowledge of building management and maintenance processes, Health & Safety process and Fire Safety SystemsProficiency in various maintenance and repair tasks including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and paintingPhysical fitness, with the ability to manage occasional heavy lifting, kneeling, ladder work, etcStrong communication skills to build working relationships with our Property Management team and in your interactions with Tenants, Clients and ContractorsGood presentation, and the ability to maintain positive, professional relationships with Tenants and the TFG team Adherence to general and site-specific health and safety procedures and regulationsA customer-focused, highly organised, and detail-oriented approach to managing facilities tasksBasic experience in project management, including planning, time management, and effective communicationsSelf-motivation and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of our teamProblem solving ability with attention to detail and aesthetics to complete all jobs to a high standard Adherence to general and site-specific health and safety procedures and regulationsA customer-focused, highly organised, and detail-oriented approach to managing facilities tasks
