BEST HAIR AND BEAUTY LIMITED T/A Conifer Grove Hair & Beauty Salon in Auckland is looking for a suitable Hairdresser to join the team. To be suitable for this role, you must have either a minimum of three years' industry-related experience or a relevant Level 4 Qualification.
The Perfect candidate will have the responsibility of providing services, learning and recommending new techniques as required, applying knowledge of the industry, and providing excellent customer service daily
The pay rate will be $31.00 to $33.00 per hour, based on Work Experience.
Location: Takanini, Auckland
Job type: Full-time – 30 hours Minimum per week, based on a rotating Roster
Duration: Permanent
The job duties associated with this role are as follows:
Greeting customers as they enter the hair salon;
Being able to ascertain a customer's preferences for the hairstyle sought and providing appropriate advice
Cutting or trimming customers' hair subject to their specifications
Applying dyes or colours onto customers' hair
Applying shampoos and conditioners on clients' hair and washing hair
Knowing the use of equipment within the hair salon, including scissors, electric razors and blades, curling irons, hair combs, hot combs, hairdryers, rollers, etc.
Ensuring that health and safety standards are adhered to and that all equipment is sterilised prior to use on a customer
Ordering equipment and stock as and when required
Arranging appointments as per availability for customers
Keeping records of payments from customers
