Guitar Teacher

Christchurch Music School is a small music school offering 1 to 1 and group music lessons to learners of all ages.
We are looking for:
A Guitar teacher for Tuesdays (and possibly Friday afternoons from Jan 2025) to build up the student base on that day.
Must be available every week of the school term (38 weeks in the year).
There is also an option to run your own workshops in school holidays.
Essential:
You must be friendly & approachable and above all, reliable.
Teach to grade 6 ABRSM (or equivalent exam board) standard.
Hold a current DBS check or be eligible to undertake one.
Have an understanding of how children learn and care passionately about children's safety and wellbeing.
Desirable:
A-level, Diploma or Music degree.
Duties & responsibilities:
Teach in private and group settings.
Prepare students for goals such as exams, performances & recording.
Guide students on how to master a piece of music.
Identify problem areas in a student's progress and suggest ways to improve.
Keep detailed records on students' progress.
