Guidance Counsellor - Ringa Whakamahereora (0.8 Fte - Fixed Term 2025)

Te Wharekura o Mauao is seeking a qualified guidance counsellor (degree or postgraduate qualification) available for 4 days a week from 20 January 2025. The position is fixed term for one year.
We are a kura a iwi providing Maori medium education to tauira across Tauranga Moana from Tau 7-13. Our roll in 2025 is forecast to be 300 tauira and therefore we need increased capacity and capability to support our tauira's wellbeing.
The Ringa Whakamahereora will work as part of our Kahui Hauora, under the guidance of our Learning Support Coordinators and alongside the school nurse and pastoral care team, and with other kaupapa Maori hauora and social service providers. Competence in Te Reo Maori is preferred as the wharekura is a Te Reo Maori environment.
