Tawa College's Guidance Department currently works with a shared leadership model.
The full-time guidance counsellors distribute responsibility between them.We are looking for an experienced guidance counsellor to join our team and are willing to consider applicants seeking a full-time or part-time role.For the right candidate, there is the potential for added leadership responsibility in the department.This could include managing external relationships, staffing of the department, overseeing guidance systems, and structural responsibilities alongside their guidance role as a part of a refreshed student care system being launched in 2025.Key responsibilities:Inspire and share the leadership of the Guidance Department.Collaborate with staff to develop and implement a clear and exciting long-term vision for the care of our students.Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages student well-being and growth.Contribute to the broader school community and its development goals.What we are looking for?An innovative and forward-thinking guidance counsellorStrong leadership and team collaboration skills.A commitment to student well-being and success.A willingness to engage with and contribute to the Tawa College community.At Tawa College, we believe in creating an engaging and supportive environment for both our staff and students.
