The school offers a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities, and it is proud of its diverse and inclusive community.About the role:Provide individual and group counselling services to students.Develop and implement counselling plans that address student needs and support their academic, social, and emotional growth.Conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate safety plans.Collaborate with teachers, parents/caregivers, and other school staff to support student wellbeing.Refer students to external agencies when necessary and liaise with other professionals involved in their care.Promote positive relationships and a culture of inclusivity and respect within the school community.Qualifications and experience:Relevant tertiary qualification in counselling or a related field (e.g., social work, psychology).Current registration with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) or a similar professional body.Experience working with adolescents in a school or other relevant setting.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Strong ethical and professional boundaries.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience in trauma-informed care.Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines related to student wellbeing.How to applyPlease send your CV, and direct enquiries to:Postal Address:PO Box 644, Tokoroa, 3444
