Guidance Counsellor

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Guidance counsellor
We are seeking an experienced, qualified and NZAC registered guidance counsellor to join our pastoral team. They would be responsible for counselling students from Y7–13 and must be able to work collaboratively and proactively with our students, caregivers, staff and wider school community, and closely with external agencies for referral and support. Must be able to work as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will be passionate and confident working with young people and have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and students. A commitment to our school culture and working as a team is essential. They must be a skilled communicator who will be able to build and maintain effective networks within school, with whanau and external agencies as appropriate.
Teaching registration is an advantage, but is not essential.
This is a permanent position commencing term 1, 2025.
