The tranquil location is perfect for those seeking a break from the city life, the Lodge has 13 well-appointed guest rooms.

An exciting opportunity has been created for a Guest Service Manager to Join the amazing team at Hana Lodge, If you enjoy working hands-on across multiple departments and you're passionate about creating memorable experiences for others, this is the perfect opportunity for you to make your mark.

The successful applicant will have a true passion for delighting guests and offering a memorable experience tailored to the needs of each guest. The applicant will also have strong interpersonal skills and must work well in a team environment, can work well under pressure, and well developed organizational and time management skills are essential.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction from check-in to check-out
• Handle guest inquiries and special requests with a personal touch
• Manage daily operations including reservations, concierge services, and housekeeping coordination
• Build rapport with guests to provide personalized recommendations and local insights
• Train and lead a small, dedicated team to deliver high-end service
• Oversee daily front office operations, including guest check-ins and check-outs
• Create bespoke experiences for guests, including activity recommendations and dining arrangements
• Manage guest feedback and ensure service excellence is maintained
• Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms meet luxury standards
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Rotorua's events and activities to provide insider tips to our guests.

• A passion for Rotorua and knowledge of local attractions
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to anticipate guest needs
• A keen eye for detail and a genuine love for guest interaction
• Must be a New Zealand Resident or hold a working Visa. We are unable to sponsor for this role.
