Guest Service Agent

Distinction Te Anau Hotel and Villas are looking for three staff to join our team to assist in running the hotel and retsurant areas, with their focus to be on the guest needs. We have a busy restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Job Duties and responsibilitiesDeliver a high level of service to meet and exceed our guests expectationsCheck-in/out guests using the property management system PMS at receptionTaking payments for resturant and reception, and making sure the the trasaction all balanceGreat communication skills to interact with both guests (recommending dishes and drink pairings) and coworkers (relaying orders and requests)Have full availability and flexibility to work a rotating 7 day roster including split shifts, weekends, and public holidaysPrior experiance in reception would be an advantagePrior waiting experience in a fast-paced cafe/bar/restaurant environment would also be an advantage BenefitsDiscounted staff meals on rostered daysDiscounted stays at any of the 17 national Distinction propertiesLearning and growth potentialStaff accommodation availableHours of workThis is a full time role for both positions with a minimumof 32 hours per week available. This is on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday including weekends, school holidays and public holidays to meet the hotel demand. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one years' experience working in a similar role. The rate of pay depends on experiance and will be between $28.20 and $31.00This role would be ideal for someone who wants to build a career in a progressive, fast growing, New Zealand owned hotel chain.
