Our Supply Chain function is integral to the efficient running and performance of the business through the strategic planning and management of inventory and asset lifecycles within the highly regulated aviation environment.
The Supply Chain team is on a journey of transformation, driving performance and global best practice through people, process and systems.
Our GSE (Ground Support Equipment) & Tooling division plays a significant part in contributing to the achievement of Air New Zealand's commercial and operational goals through On Time Performance, Safety, and Operational Excellence.
Our primary purpose is to ensure the safety of our people and environment.
In order to continue this success story and to grow and develop the business, we are looking for a results-driven project and programme management professional to join us as GSE & Tooling Strategy Manager.
Reporting to the Senior Manager GSE and Tooling, the Strategy Manager will lead the GSE & Tooling Project Team, managing the Capital investment programme and approved budgets and leading the planning and delivery of projects across all Airports, Cargo and Aircraft Maintenance business areas.
You'll also oversee complex non-Capital projects and drive the development of best practice project management processes and systems.
To be successful in this role you will meet these requirements: Proven experience and a thorough knowledge of project and programme management practices and principles, including development of complex business cases.
Strong people leadership skills to support the development of teams, set clear performance targets and expectations and ensure a culture of high performance.
Have knowledge of equipment lifecycle management.
Experience in developing and executing on business unit/departmental strategy.
Have a strong focus and passion for health, safety and wellbeing.
Demonstrate strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills.
Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to influence positive outcomes at all levels to secure project endorsement and embed change successfully.
Possess excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to cope under pressure, managing various tasks at once and using initiative.
Hold an industry recognised project and/or programme management qualification or equivalent experience.
