About the role:
This is a full time Group Travel Consultant role, working in our Inbound Centre in Auckland's CBD. You will work within an outstanding team of Inbound professionals.
The requirement of the role is to process Inbound Group booking requests accurately and efficiently on a daily basis from our Overseas and Domestic clients. As an Inbound Group Consultant, you will develop effective and ongoing Overseas client relationships, maintain high levels of customer service, and ensure conversion of quotes, itineraries and support is provided.
In this role, you will use your travel industry experience and your destination knowledge to support the full coordination of Inbound group travel with agents all over the world.
As Inbound – Groups Consultant you will be accountable for:

Always providing clear and respectful communications.
Providing exceptional customer service over the phone and via email.
Providing local assistance while inbound travel groups are in the country.
Providing quotations to Inbound agents as requested, including detailed itineraries.
Daily processing of Inbound group bookings, including amendments and cancellations of bookings ensuring a response/confirmation is sent.
Answering queries and calculating quotes from Inbound agents.
Ensuring client customer service issues are addressed promptly.
Research, analysis and recommendation of ways to improve operational products and services offered to our customers.
Actively responding to customer feedback and showing initiative to address suitable outcomes to customer enquiries.
Managing work priorities to ensure that all clients are receiving service as per contractual obligations.
Keeping up to date with special group offers.
Ensuring all documentation including invoices are accurate for group finalisation.
Completing and attending to Ad hoc projects and tasks as requested.

All about you:
To be successful in this role you will have:

Must have full New Zealand residency.
No company sponsorship available for this role.
A Degree or Diploma in Tourism/Travel (preferred however not essential).
Previous Travel experience with travel bookings (preferably group travel).
A sound knowledge of New Zealand Tourist Destinations.
Strong sound understanding of New Zealand Geography.
Proficiency in computer skills and possess the ability to confidently learn new computer systems.
Experience in Word | Excel | Database platforms.
