RMHC New Zealand supports families with a child in hospital away from home Our programmes take care of the practical things in life so families can focus on their child staying in a hospital away from home In 2018 RMHC New Zealand provided more than 4 300 families across New Zealand with accommodation and support free of charge This helps to relieve stresses like paying for a place to sleep near the hospital organising family meals and needing a friendly ear to listen on tough days Simply we give families with a hospitalised child what they need most each other An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced coordinator with a passion for food and excellent relationship management skills to coordinate and host the volunteers who participate in the RMHC New Zealand group volunteering programme in Auckland Volunteers are a cornerstone of the RMHC New Zealand family and this role is one of the key champions of the volunteer programme with particular emphasis on group volunteers We are looking for a passionate enthusiastic and customer experience focused person to work collaboratively across multiple departments to ensure a seamless volunteering customer journey that will convert volunteers to lifelong RMHC New Zealand supporters via volunteering donations and spreading the word The quality of communication and customer service will have the RMHC New Zealand volunteer programme second to none Key responsibilities include Scheduling all Aucklandbased groups by matching group requirements and skills with appropriate volunteering opportunities Hosting and supervising Auckland group cooking sessions including overseeing food safety and providing cooking and logistical support Collaborating with the Development and Engagement Team to produce onbrand marketing materials information packs and stewardship content Assisting Food Service Manager with logistical support such as inventory management and recipe packs To be considered for this role you will have A Tourism Hospitality Customer Service Recruitment or Administration qualification Experience coordinating volunteers or being a volunteer A Food Handling Certificate preferred A First Aid Certificate preferred Excellent relationship management skills Excellent grasp of the English language Empathy for sick children and their families Be a team player enjoy supporting and working with others NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa Be part of a team who are passionate driven and work collaboratively to enable RMHC New Zealand to support families across New Zealand with a child in hospital away from home If you are ready for a high impact role with one of New Zealand s most trusted notforprofit organisations send us your CV and covering letter via the Apply Now button or email priscilla philip rmhc org nz for further information Applications close Friday 31 January 2020 at 5 00 pm Please note that the successful candidate will need to complete a satisfactory NZ Police Vetting application
