Group Tax Accountant (Christchurch Based)

My client was established in New Zealand almost 75 years ago and has grown to be a New Zealand success story with an international presence in over 60 countries.
Due to the consistent growth of the company, they are in need of a Tax Accountant to join their team to act as the subject matter expert, maintaining full compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements for the group on local and international matters.
This is a newly created position which has come about as they embark on the next phase of growth.
This position is based in Christchurch.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be bringing your technical experience to work across (but not limited to):
Monitoring shareholder continuity and thin capitalisation requirements for all entities.Ensuring all tax returns and financial statements are made in a timely manner.Ensuring compliance and updates for new developments with the transfer pricing policy for all jurisdictions.Ensuring all external stakeholder tax reporting is completed, including the tax transparency report.Assisting with the implementation of IFRS 16, including fixed asset review from an accounting and tax perspective.Implementing best practice in financial reporting and fulfilling statutory obligations whilst supporting the finance strategy across the business functions.What we are looking for: CA/CPA Qualified3-6 years of experience in a similar position either in Big4 or Mid Tier with significantly sized clients, or commercial experience.Advanced Excel skillsPlease click apply now or for any questions please contact Amelia-Jane Hoffmann-Bryant on 021-981-823 or ****** with any questions.
