Group Sales Operations Manager - Bayswater Vehicle GroupBayswater Vehicle Group is searching for high-calibre applicants for the newly created executive role of Group Sales Operations Manager.Since 1990, the Bayswater Vehicle Group has been Hawke's Bay's most trusted name in motoring, with dealerships located in Napier and Hastings.
Proudly 100% locally owned and operated, our vehicle franchise family includes brands such as Hyundai, Isuzu, Subaru, Suzuki, Nissan, BYD, MG, Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, and MINI.
Operating from eight sites with ten showrooms, the group has expanded to the point where we require executive leadership of our vehicle sales operations.
Boasting numerous significant awards over many years, our team is driven to deliver exceptional customer experiences and is determined to succeed in all areas of our business to ensure continued growth.The successful applicant will join a highly experienced executive team based in Hawke's Bay, reporting directly to the Group CEO and receiving the following:An excellent remuneration package with significant earning potential and the use of a premium company vehicle.Executive team resources with IT, Marketing, Aftersales, and Finance support.On-going training and development opportunities.Responsibilities will include:Strategic planning to grow group new and used vehicle sales operations.Providing leadership and mentoring to the group's vehicle sales team.Operational leadership of group sales management and sales teams.Directing marketing activities to support group sales operations.Developing policies and procedures to support group sales operations.Implementing "best practice" benchmarking and measurement within sales operations.Strategic planning and operational oversight of vehicle inventories.Being part of the senior executive team and working with the group's advisory board.Communicating at a high level with external stakeholders and business partners.This new executive role does not fit into a traditional dealership organizational structure.
The role incorporates responsibilities for multiple brands and dealerships and requires a fresh, contemporary, and highly strategic thinker.Suitable applicants must have the following attributes and experience:Strategic thinker with strong communication and relationship-building skills.Experience in managing a group of sales professionals.Ability to innovate and develop new sales pathways.A minimum of three years of automotive senior management or executive leadership experience.A sound understanding of the industry's "best practice" benchmarks, including financial literacy.Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements related to the motor industry.Highly motivated with a positive attitude and desire to succeed.Existing industry relationships would be an advantage.If a great work/life balance is what you are after, then Hawke's Bay is also an ideal place to live!
