As the Sales Manager for the leisure market, you will play a pivotal role in driving leisure business opportunities across our portfolio of hotels. You will drive sales revenue and develop relationships within the inbound and wholesale leisure markets sector. You will work closely with travel agents, tour operators, and key partners to maximize business opportunities and achieve sales targets.The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a strong understanding of the leisure travel industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual who can build relationships with clients, understand market trends, and anticipate needs.This is a full-time permanent position with great opportunities for international travel and career growth within our organisation.Candidates must be available for planned international and National travel events. The ability to gain a visa for entry to the USA is essential, and only candidates with the legal right to work in New Zealand will be considered for the role.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve leisure revenue and occupancy targets.Identify and secure potential leisure clients and accounts, nurturing relationships to drive repeat business.Work collaboratively with marketing to create compelling promotions and campaigns that enhance hotel visibility.Analyze market trends and competitors to identify new opportunities.Conduct site visits and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the unique offerings of each hotel.Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to promote the hotels and generate leads.RequirementsExceptional ability to develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the inbound/wholesale leisure market.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent presentation and communication abilities, particularly in trade show and client engagement settings.Proven relationship-building skills with key accounts and stakeholders.Ability to analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.Proven track record of successfully driving leisure sales and achieving revenue targets.Minimum 5 years experience in a strategic multi-property Sales role within the hospitality sector.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.A passion for travel and understanding of leisure market dynamics.Flexibility to travel as needed for client meetings and events.Own reliable transport; travel expenses covered and CBD car parking.Candidates must be available for key planned National and International travel events.The ability to gain a visa for entry to the USA is essential for regular business travel events along with a passport without travel restrictions.
