The Role:
Exciting business growth strategies mean they now require a Group Marketing Services 'head' to work alongside a high-performing lead team. The role has one direct report.
The position's primary objective is to initiate, develop, and implement a marketing and communications plan and associated programs/activities to drive the Covington Group brands, position the businesses positively to generate interest, and help bring the ambitious plans and vision to life.
The role is broadly scoped, so responsibilities extend beyond communications and brand. The social media platforms will need to be current and engaging, research and data will need interpreting, and there will be an event calendar to support the business plan. These activities will all fall under your supervision.
Background:
To hit the ground running, you'll be tertiary qualified, with proven success as a marketing generalist in a privately held or non-corporate business. You will have experience in the software technology environment and have talked to global markets.
You will have spent 2-3 years in brand, communications, and social media, so you are ready to take a step up, and you can be trusted to get on with the basics of the role.
You thrive when you're hands-on at the coalface, using your initiative and implementing your own strategy into the business. You also understand the importance of running a private, forward-thinking, agile business.
Professionally managing relationships with your leadership team, advisers, customers, suppliers, and business partners is your natural strength. You can easily prioritise, 'push back,' and manage your time. In addition, you are a commercially astute, critical thinker who can influence but is also happy to be executing. You are pragmatic and ambitious, with resilience and a 'just get on with it' attitude.
