From transport infrastructure to customer-focused solutions, we're creating seamless journeys across our city that enable businesses and Aucklanders to thrive.Auckland Transport (AT) has an infrastructure asset portfolio valued at $27 billion and a capital delivery budget more than $1 billion per annum (including roads, footpaths, active mode and public transport and marine facilities), which are delivered through out-sourced arrangements.The Infrastructure and Place Division is responsible for delivery of the infrastructure capital programme, together with renewals and maintenance of all existing transport infrastructure assets.This role leads the Transport Investment Group within the Infrastructure and Place Division. The role is part of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Director of Infrastructure and Place.The purpose of this role is to lead a high performing team managing preparation of transport investment business cases to support transport planning, inform the RLTP process and to secure funding for a consistent pipeline of capital projects.Oversight and leadership to deliver 'value for money' infrastructure investment business cases aligned with organizational priorities and expectations.Working collaboratively cross-organisation with Board members, Executive and other Group Managers to achieve AT's capital investment priorities and strategic outcomes.Engaging with and influencing key stakeholders including funders (AC and Waka Kotahi), elected representatives, industry representatives, delivery partners etc.Collaborating and working with other Group Managers to enable a consistent funded pipeline of capital projects to support achievement of AT's goals and objectives.Leading and empowering the Group Senior Management Team and team members to support, develop and maintain a constructive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.Minimum Requirements:Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Planning, Management or Business15 years' professional engineering management experience in complex transport infrastructure developments10 years' experience in a leadership role10 years' experience with Public Transport and ideally rail specific experienceExtensive experience with development of transport infrastructure investment feasibility studies and business cases.Knowledge of the NZ transport sector, including transport planning and rail infrastructure project deliveryExposure to commercial projects working in the private and public sectorAt AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.
