The role is part of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Director of Infrastructure and Place.The purpose of this role is to lead a high performing team managing delivery of the rail capital works programme, to support planned public transport patronage growth on the Auckland Metro Rail Network and aligned with the long term (30yrs +) and short term (10yrs) metro rail development programme in partnership with KiwiRail.Oversight and leadership to ensure the successful delivery of passenger rail capital projects, within budget/forecast, on time and mitigate reputational risks for AT.Representing AT on Rail Infrastructure Governance Groups and Project Alliance Boards.Working collaboratively cross-organisation with Board members, Executive and other Group Managers to achieve AT's rail capital investment priorities and strategic outcomes.Engaging with and influencing key stakeholders including funders (AC and Waka Kotahi), elected representatives, industry representatives, delivery partners etc.Minimum Requirements:Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Planning, Management, Business or equivalentPost graduate qualification in Engineering, Planning, Management or BusinessProfessional membership in relevant industry association20 years' professional engineering management experience in complex transport infrastructure developments15 years' experience in a leadership role10 years' experience with rail infrastructureHistory of bringing together a cohesive team to gain positive outcomesAt AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.
