This role is central for our clients and offers career development opportunities at a senior level.Purpose of PositionTo provide clients with outstanding account service, delivering on Stanley St's commitment to provide the best comms solutions to solve any business challenge.TE TURANGA / THE POSITION / Summary of the RoleYou are the oracle of your client's business and the go-to person for the overall running of the account(s) both internally and externally.
You use your vast experience and intricate knowledge of account handling and specifically the client business, to sit alongside the client and to help the team navigate campaigns/projects from start to finish.
You're strategically minded, with one eye on what's coming down the pipeline and the ability to create a working environment that allows the team to create the best work possible.You seamlessly manage up and down, ensuring the right specialism is delivering for the client in an agile digital world; fending off potential issues by looking ahead, and knowing where to ask for advice.
You stay close to the senior client, the CE, ECD, Head of Media and Planning so the team is aligned to one vision for the overall work and direction of the account.
You are able to guide and influence this direction actively.You're a team leader that knows how to manage and inspire people to get the absolute best out of them.
You have a focus on your team's development and appraisals with the ultimate goal of retention and growth.
You plan the trajectory of projects with your team, ensuring they are on task, that they understand the process and why certain decisions are made.
You divert them from potential mistakes and shield them if things do go wrong.
You are keen to see them grow and develop as account handlers and they know they can come to you for anything.You're a master of finances, and ensure your team is too.
You're constantly checking estimates are accurate, invoices are on time and forecasting is timely.
You are able to use your business acumen and flag any potential issues coming down the line.
You ensure every opportunity is converted and proactivity is a daily thought.Nothing phases you and you are able to create a positive working environment for all departments in the agency whilst nurturing and supporting your account handling teams.
