If you are a seasoned leader seeking to advance your career, we have an exhilarating management position available for you…We are currently looking for a Group Broking Manager (GBM) to join our team in Northland (Kerikeri)In this role, strong leadership skills are essential as you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of around 9 Brokers & Broker Associates across Kaitaia and Kerikeri. Your role will involve providing guidance and support to the team, helping them meet targets.Your ability to inspire and motivate a team will be key in driving their success. In addition to being an outstanding leader, you will also be responsible for delivering exceptional commercial insurance advice to a small portfolio of clients.Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this is an excellent chance to become a part of a highly capable leadership team and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the branch. You will play a crucial role in fostering a distinctive branch culture and driving its growth.You will need to be confident, proactive, adaptable, and resilient. These traits will enable you to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders, both internally and externally. Your ability to think on your feet and make quick, informed decisions will be crucial in this role.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop and manage exceptional client relationships to deliver an outstanding customer experienceAssist in generating growth within the existing portfolio and convert new businessContribute to mid and short-term business strategy and planning to ensure targets are in line with market trends, regulations and operational processesDevelop and monitor delivery of retention and profitability (new business, growth) targets for self and the team, to achieve and exceed agreed levels of performanceMentor, coach and motivate team members to achieve business targetsSkills and ExperienceProven ability in coaching a team and performance management.Proven ability to develop and manage complex client accounts and generate, qualify and close new business opportunities.Negotiation skills coupled with the ability to be flexible and innovative.Comfortable explaining complex concepts and making recommendations to customers.Demonstrated experience of presenting to and building relationships with key decision makersA high degree of commercial acumen and experience.Complies with FSLAA regarding holding a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5).About us:At Gallagher, we've been helping to protect what's important to people and businesses for more than 95 years.
