As a Grid Connection Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful integration of our solar projects into the electrical grid.

Elecnor is listed on the Continuous Market and has a team of highly qualified professionals and a workforce of 21,000 employees.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop comprehensive strategies for the grid integration of solar projects, considering technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and project timelines.Navigate regulatory requirements related to grid connection permits, approvals, and interconnection agreements.Review primary and secondary system designs for interconnection works.Evaluate OEM technical documentation for performance gaps and urgent project needs.Stay updated with grid code requirements and energy dispatch provisions.Coordinate with SCADA and equipment suppliers to ensure compliance with market dispatch and performance standards.Manage designers, TNSP, and consultants for smooth interconnection.Develop commissioning test plans and coordinate with AEMO for testing.Lead compliance monitoring and quality assurance efforts.Identify risks and implement solutions throughout project phases.Manage project grid connection budget and foster team improvement opportunities.Collaborate with utility companies, grid operators, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to negotiate agreements and address concerns.Conduct site assessments to evaluate grid connection options, identify constraints, and optimize connection points.Coordinate with internal engineering teams to ensure alignment between project design specifications and grid connection requirements.Oversee all aspects of grid connection projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of grid connection systems.Maintain accurate records of grid connection activities and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
A Master's degree is preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in grid connection, project management, or solar energy development.Demonstrated understanding of electrical grid systems, power distribution, and grid integration technologies.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes relevant to grid connection.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.Proven track record of effectively managing complex projects and delivering results in a dynamic environment.If you have the qualifications and experience required for this role, please submit your application with a cover letter and resume.
