The Waimakariri District Council is looking for a new Greenspace Strategy and Partnership Team Leader with the ability to work effectively across a wide range of issues and enable a customer-focused environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled people leader with a background in biodiversity, community engagement, public space planning and strategy implementation to join a progressive and customer-focused Council.
The successful applicant will be a motivated individual to work with internal and external stakeholders. In this technical leadership role, you will offer high-quality expertise across projects and programs of work for our environmental and natural parks network. You will also input into the growth strategy for the District, lead by example through the delivery of a customer-focused service, and manage key stakeholder relationships.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have a solutions-focused attitude with the ability to work with various stakeholders with conflicting interests. An understanding of relationship management, navigating council processes for community groups, engagement processes, strategy development, and program management would also be an advantage.
