The opportunity - Te turangaIn this role as Graphic Designer reporting to the News Editor, you will be responsible for creating compelling visuals for NCA content on TVNZ+ to maximise audiences and revenue.
Your focus will be on: Conceptualising artwork from briefs and/or reviewing content to entice audiences of news and current affairs clips on TVNZ+, maximising plays and revenue.Using colour, typography, illustrations, and photography in compelling and appropriate ways.Ensuring thumbnails work across different endpoints.Ensuring that designs adhere to the TVNZ brand criteria.Accurately recording and archiving work.This position is an 8-week fixed-term contract commencing Monday 30th September 2024.
We are seeking the following qualities to excel in this role: Qualification in graphic design, and at least two years' experience as a graphic designer (please include your portfolio in your application).Strong skills in design software, particularly Photoshop.An interest in news and current affairs.Excellent understanding of digital platforms and digital audiences.Ability to remain calm under pressure and work at pace.Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!
