The Refugee Orientation Centre Trust helps former refugees integrate well into the community through educational programs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated graphic design volunteer to help design flyers, brochures, and our quarterly newsletter to promote our programs.This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with an impeccable sense of design who are motivated to contribute their time to make a difference to the lives of our refugee communities and at the same time build their portfolio.
Previous experience in graphic design, communications, marketing, public relations and/or social media is preferred but not necessary.This role will require you to:Design and update content for the site, newsletters, and social mediaCollaborate with program coordinators to develop or refine designsAdapt and enhance existing brand design standards, such as icons, images, and other componentsEnsure alignment with creative and marketing objectives on all projects; ensure consistency across all mediaBring visual creativity and innovation to campaigns and projectsBy participating in this volunteering opportunity, you are helping achieve the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goal(s):Goal 4 – Quality EducationGoal 10 – Reduced InequalitiesRequirements:Requirements for the role include:A good grasp of the Creative Adobe SuiteKnowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge about digital content including websites, digital layout, and social media.Time commitment:A minimum of 5 hours a week but this can be discussed around your schedule.Getting started:The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below.
