Grants and Trusts Fundraising ProfessionalThis is a contract role for a Funding professional to join FIRST72, a leading emergency preparedness organisation in the Hawkes Bay region. In this position, you will play a crucial role in securing funding to support community preparedness and resilience projects/initiatives. The role offers the flexibility of a contract arrangement, allowing you to contribute your expertise while maintaining the work-life balance that suits you best (if required).What you'll be doingResearching and identifying potential funding sources, including grants, donations, and corporate partnerships.Preparing and submitting compelling funding proposals and applications.Maintaining relationships with existing funders and donors to secure ongoing support.Collaborating with the wider team to align funding activities with the organisation's strategic objectives.Tracking and reporting on the progress of funding initiatives using GEMS database software.Staying up-to-date with changes in the funding landscape and adapting strategies accordingly.What we're looking forProven experience in fundraising or grant writing, with a track record of successful funding applications.Strong research and proposal writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive narratives.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with funders and donors.Familiarity with the Hawkes Bay community/national NZ and the funding landscape in the non-profit sector.Adaptability and creativity in identifying new funding opportunities.A collaborative and proactive approach to working within a team.What we offerFlexible working arrangements to accommodate your work-life balance.Opportunities for continuous learning and skills development.A supportive and inclusive work environment that values teamwork and innovation.Competitive remuneration and benefits package.About usFIRST72 NZ is a national organisation dedicated to driving positive change in NZ communities through emergency preparedness and resilience initiatives.
