Full Time Application Closes 17 Apr 2024 Auckland - Auckland Technical Writer The Grant Writer is an exciting role responsible for developing, managing, coordinating, and growing grant revenue to fund SPCA services and initiatives that align with SPCA strategic objectives. The role focuses on excellent story-led communication, working cross-departmental as well as the management and accountability of grant funding, to provide sustainable grant revenue for the organisation. The role works in collaboration with the wider fundraising team to provide a strategic approach to funding projects, other business units including relevant programme and finance team members, tracking timelines and operational plans for achieving outcomes. Regular accountability reporting against outcomes is provided to funders. The position is responsible for maintaining and growing grant revenue streams, funder stewardship and strengthening those relationships, and grant implementation while meeting budgets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify funding opportunities to grow grant income. Identify SPCA goals, objectives, capex and opex requirements across SPCA suited to grant funding. Build relationships with Grant funders across New Zealand. Prepare compelling grant proposals, and accountabilities. Manage administrative, reporting and reconciliation aspects of the grant seeking programme. Supports process improvement groups and projects across the organisation to improve organisational performance. Participates as a professional and constructive member of the Engagement Team.
