We have a rich history stretching back to 1890 and as we continue to connect people with sight loss to expert staff and their peers, we also continue to be one of New Zealand's most trusted and iconic not for profit organisations.Mo tenei turanga mahi | About this roleThis programme is specifically tailored to graduates who are blind, deafblind or have low vision. During the programme, you'll gain invaluable workplace experience through a full-time 12-month paid placement with BLVNZ, with the potential to be placed with an external employer during the final 3 months of the year-long programme.You will develop professional skills, practical skills related to your qualification, and build confidence in the workplace. A senior mentor will be assigned to you to support you throughout the programme and discuss your future career prospects.Our goal is to help kick-start your professional career and assist you in gaining employment beyond the programme, by networking and leveraging your learnings.Ko wai koe | About youWe are looking for graduates who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision. Additionally, you will:·Be enthusiastic about learning and developing new skills.·Have obtained a qualification (NZQA Level 5 minimum) within the last 12 months.·Be eligible to work in NZ.·Be able to work in our Auckland BLVNZ offices; primarily from Parnell and other Auckland offices as necessary.The programme commences in July 2024 and concludes in July 2025.Apply now to the BLVNZ Graduate Programme and take your first step towards professional success and a life without limits.
