Wellington based  Permanent full time opportunity   Mo te tima  / About our team Join our dynamic Forecasting and Costing team at the Ministry of Social Development as a Graduate Analyst!
We are responsible for providing expert analysis on the demand for and cost of the benefit system, helping to inform government decision makers on key policy decisions.
Te ahuatunga a te turanga / About the role     As a Graduate Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including in-depth modelling and forecasting, ad-hoc requests, and innovative analyses to understand the impacts of policy decisions on benefit numbers and expenditure.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in Economics, Operations Research, or a related field, as well as experience with economic and mathematical modelling, programming skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
In addition to your technical skills, we are seeking someone who is able to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, produce high quality work under pressure, and work well as part of a team.
You should also be comfortable taking accountability for your work and thrive in an environment that encourages teamwork and a sense of purpose.
