Discover Waitomo is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Glowworm Cave Services Manager to join our team and ensure the operational success of our iconic Glowworm Caves.
About the Role:
As the Glowworm Cave Services Manager, you will:
Provide maintenance support for the Glowworm Caves under the direction of the Facilities and Infrastructure Manager.
Manage and improve infrastructure and maintenance practices to enhance the customer experience.
Lead the Glowworm Cave cleaning team, ensuring best practices and world-class standards.
Ensure our sites are well-maintained, resolving maintenance issues cost-effectively, safely, and promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and conduct building maintenance with relevant contractors.
Lead a small team of Service Technicians.
Lead the cleaning team and manage relationships with suppliers and third parties.
Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting and landscaping.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Manage site waste and recycling.
Supervise contractors as needed.
Undertake other duties as directed by the Facilities and Infrastructure Manager.
What We're Looking For:
Significant maintenance experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Understanding and experience working in a bicultural environment.
A lateral thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Experience leading a small team is highly desirable.
Excellent time management skills.
An active contributor to the team environment.
