Position Responsibilities:Reporting to the Managing Executive Officer of HQ in Japan and President & CEO of Americas Region. Our client has 80+ years' experience providing customized logistics solutions combining the latest technology and high-quality service. Their global network offers a multi-mode global forwarding suite of services spanning over 700 locations in 47 countries.The Global Sales Manager - Semiconductor will be responsible for securing and managing new customer business in air, ocean, warehousing/distribution, trucking & 3PL services within the high tech / semiconductor vertical. Will be tasked with achieving revenue targets by securing business with new global customers and selling additional services to current global customers. Responsibility includes developing strong C-Level relationships with target customers and providing expertise in the assigned vertical to share with other members of our client's team.Background Required:Significant sales experience within the freight forwarding / logistics sector (7+ yrs)Multiple existing client relationships within the high tech / semiconductor verticalDemonstrated track record of sales successComplex supply chain solutions including transportation, warehousing, distribution & reverse logisticsKnowledge of major trade lanes (Asia-pacific, trans-Atlantic, India)Strong negotiation skills – ability to negotiate global contracts & processesAbility to travel within assigned territory 40%Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & OutlookEducation: Bachelor's degree or equivalent marketing, business administration or economicsResidence: East Coast, USABackground Preferred (but not required):Freight forwarding operationsAdvanced Degree – MBAOther Essential Abilities and Skills:"Hunter" mentalityExcellent communication skills (verbal & written)Excellent organizational skillsAbility to understand, develop and maintain multi-cultural relationshipsIf you are interested in this opportunity but you're not ready to apply, please email the Practice Leader provided below with your questions.Contact:Practice Director: Linda MarmashFreight Forwarding ******, ext.129Click here to apply online
