Having been in business for 35 years, Thwaites is a well-known, trusted, and prominent leader in the Southland and Southern Lakes district.The JobThwaites currently has a permanent vacancy for a Trade Qualified / Experienced Glazier, or consideration will be given for individuals with sound Industry experience.
Working predominantly in the factory, this position offers variety and challenge, all whilst working as part of a fun, hardworking team of 26.
The responsibilities of the job will include but are not limited to:Reading job sheets and interpreting installation and glazing detailsFactory and Site GlazingMeasuring and fitting new glassAluminium Joinery fabricationSite work on occasionDrivingMaintenance of Aluminium Joinery carried out on siteThe use of suction cups to lift glass into placeAttaching Sashes to window framesAbout YouThe ideal applicant will be required to have sound Industry experience or ideally a Trade Qualification in Glazing.
Experience in commercial work would be advantageous, however not essential.
Manual handling is part of the role, so a sound level of fitness is required.
