Join our team as a GIS Analyst!
The management and utilisation of spatial data have become essential in the fields of construction, environmental science, and asset management.
HEB recognises the significance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a pivotal tool for harnessing geospatial information to make informed decisions and streamline operations.
We are expanding our team to support and enhance this critical function.As a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for creating applications to effectively collect and communicate spatial information, maintaining spatial databases and datasets, and working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions.
You will provide technical support for various projects and initiatives, offer training to end-users, and stay updated on the latest GIS technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.Initially based at the Head Office in Auckland, the position may eventually transfer to site as required once projects have been awarded and are commencing.The Role:You'll also be responsible for:Collecting, managing, and analysing geographic data from various sources.Developing applications to collect, manage, and communicate spatial information effectively.Creating and maintaining spatial databases and datasets.Maintaining integrations between GIS and other platforms.Performing spatial analysis and modelling to support business objectives.Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their GIS needs and requirements.Providing technical support and training to end-users of GIS applications.Staying current with GIS technologies and best practices.About You:To be successful in this role you'll have proven knowledge of GIS products that can be used to provide solutions.
You'll also have:Strong customer and business focus.Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.1+ years of experience in a GIS role.Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS Pro) and spatial analysis.Practical knowledge of ESRI web and mobile applications (Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123).Experience with database management systems (SQL).Proven communication skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.What We Offer:HEB offers an excellent benefits package to our employees.
