Advance your GIS skill and careerAmbitious community focused organisationWhat the job involvesWorking with the GIS team and the wider organisation you'll contribute to the on-going development, delivery, and management of GIS services and infrastructure at Ashburton District Council.Alongside end users you will use and develop your GIS skill-sets to identify needs and requirements and turn these into spatial solutions that support our Information Systems and align with our GIS Strategy. You'll promote and support user education and development, to further the use of GIS in support of the GIS teams and organisational goals.This is a full time (40 hours per week), fixed term position until 30 June 2026.Who are we looking for?You will bring an applied expertise of ESRI solutions, within a local government or similar environment, working alongside teammates and end users to support the continual improvement of our GIS service and solutions and meet current best practices and industry standards.Working within an organisation that promotes positivity and growth, you will have excellent communication skills, an optimistic outlook and an enthusiasm for not only owning your role but furthering it.
