The role In this key role, you will operate and monitor Eastland Generation's geothermal power plants safely and efficiently to maintain optimal performance. You will also ensure that production aligns with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards, and help to support a safe, collaborative work environment.
Reporting to the operations manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Maximising plant output through safe, compliant operation. Contributing to safety and operational systems performance and development. Ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, company safety standards and environmental policies. Performing routine inspections, tracking plant conditions, monitoring equipment, responding to alarms and logging data using SAP CMMS. Collaborating with maintenance teams to minimise downtime. Managing contractor work in line with guidelines and supporting the Asset Management Plan. Being available to provide after-hours support as needed. About you You're a team player who also enjoys working independently, with an analytical approach to identifying and solving problems. You are decisive and methodical, solutions-focused with outstanding attention to detail. You understand the importance of risk management, have sound commercial awareness, and prioritise health and safety at all times.
Your experience and qualifications:
A strong background in electrical, C&I, or mechanical systems. Experience in geothermal or power generation is beneficial but not essential. Proficiency in standard business software (MS Office); familiarity with SAP CMMS is advantageous. First Aid certification and a valid driver's licence. Ready to apply?
