Our Geotechnical team works across geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and hydrogeology. As a national team of over 130 people, we are excited for the opportunities ahead of us and are well placed to help Aotearoa advance and protect our world for future generations. Over 250 people from a broad range of different engineering disciplines work out of our Wellington office, which has a depth of knowledge and exciting office culture that enables our people to play a huge role in the day-to-day life of people in the Wellington region. 
To be part of our growth in the region, we are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join us in Wellington. This role will provide opportunities in business development, client relationship management and technical delivery. This will be a varied role that includes supporting and delivering projects with support from our technical specialists, liaising with clients, guiding and growing more junior team members. You will plan and execute field assignments, prepare technical proposals and reports, undertake design and design management, and liaise with clients. Working alongside a national team of Geotechnical specialists across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands, the forward workload is strong and varied. 
Aligned with the level of the role, we envision that the base salary component will be in the region of NZ$64,000 -96,000, depending on skills and experience. The role is full time and permanent, with minimum guaranteed hours of 40 a week.
About you-Te Rongoa You love to learn and share knowledge and can bring a fresh perspective. You hold a relevant New Zealand or offshore qualification, with at least one years' experience. You will have good problem-solving skills, an inquiring mind, and be able to problem solve and think laterally. How you work is also important to us – we will value your enthusiasm and motivation to continue learning from your peers and more senior team members.
