In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience working on diverse projects aimed at upgrading New Zealand's infrastructure and building climate resilience for the future. You'll have the chance to grow your skills, gain valuable experience, and access professional development opportunities within a supportive environmentAbout the RolePlan and carry out site investigations for projects such as slope instability, pipelines, landfills, and building foundations.Engineering geological model development, slope stability modelling, and liquefaction assessments.Remedial works design, construction supervision, and monitoring systems.Write technical reports.Develop capabilities to manage projects by coordinating subcontractors and liaising with regulators and client contacts.Service external clients directly or provide specialist input to projects across other PDP workgroups in the areas of slope instability, pipeline route selection/construction, foundations/dams/landfill, as well as wastewater reticulation, stormwater disposal, and landfills.What you'll bringDegree in Science or Engineering with geotechnical or geology specialisation1-3 years' experience involved in geotechnical projects including investigations, assessments, and reporting preferably in the consulting environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organisation skills.Experience in geotechnical software and GIS.Creative thinking to find innovative and sound solutions for our clients.A collegial, team-plater with a 'can do' attitude.What we offerFully subsidised health insurance and income protection.Ability to purchase extra annual leave through salary sacrifice.Salary top-up for parental leave (all primary carers).Full professional membership fee cover and continued study support.Multiple opportunities to be part of our inclusion, community, and sustainability groups.About UsPDP is one of Aotearoa New Zealand's leading environmental science, engineering, and advisory consultancies.
