This role would suit a New Zealand or overseas candidate who wants to further their knowledge and career by doing Fellowship before taking up a consultant role in the future. This is a senior registrar level appointment with a specific focus on General and Breast surgery.This role covers Senior Medical Officer (SMO) general surgical on-call responsibilities, requiring the ability to manage acute emergencies as well as options for elective general surgery lists.This Fellow appointment would suit someone who has recent general surgery experience and ideally has passed their final examinations and is looking to gain more experience.You will be part of a dynamic and innovative department with a strong focus on ongoing quality improvement and positive relationships with clinical colleagues. Collaboration and a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care is integral to our service delivery here at Hutt.
