Seeking an experienced General Practitioner to provide whanau-centred, culturally appropriate, and individual holistic care to whanau that addresses health needs and promotes wellness.
We need someone who is highly engaged and passionate about working with our whanau in a kaupapa Maori environment. The successful candidate will need to be committed to achieving health equity and driving quality improvement to ensure better health outcomes for our communities.
What we offer: Flexible hours and work arrangements: options to work across our clinic sites located in Thames and/or Paeroa full-time or part-time hours and short-term locum options. Support from a multidisciplinary primary health care team. A negotiable remuneration package for permanent staff: Competitive salary; 5-week annual leave entitlement; reimbursement (pro rata) of costs associated with MCNZ registration, annual practising certification, College fees and medical indemnity insurance coverage; tangihanga (funeral) insurance coverage; relocation allowance. Registration as a Medical Practitioner in New Zealand with current APC. Vocational registration or practical experience as a General Practitioner. Makes clear medical decisions and takes ownership of these, following up on problems to ensure they are resolved. Works as part of a clinical team, ensuring whanau needs are met.
