General Physician Timaru Hospital - South Island, New Zealand
Options for Permanent, Full and Part Time
General Medicine Department at Timaru Hospital Currently, we are a team of nine internal medicine specialists, with some of the team having additional sub-specialty qualifications or interests, including Neurology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, and Cardiology. This allows each member of the team to practice, or upskill if needed, in an area of their interest, which we believe adds to job satisfaction and delivers valuable services to the community.
We also have a unique part-time model that enables part-timers to take their time off in blocks of weeks instead of days.
We are keen to expand the range and depth of these services and are looking for people who, in addition to their internal medicine and acute medicine skills, might like to practice or upskill in internal medicine subspecialties like gastroenterology, endocrinology (diabetes), rheumatology, cardiology, haematology, or similar. Equally, if you have an additional interest in Geriatric Medicine, we have opportunities that may suit.
