Starship Children's Hospital, the leading tertiary hospital for child health care in Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand), has an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Paediatrician. This is a unique opportunity to work with an experienced and professional General Paediatrics team in a broad variety of practices within a tertiary children's hospital.

Permanent Full time/Part-time
Rostered inpatient on-call availability (including some weekends)
Outpatient clinics supporting a wide variety of developmental needs

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Based at Starship Hospital, Grafton, General Paediatrics provides services to children across New Zealand and outpatient services for the central Auckland population. The Starship General Paediatrics team provides expert care for acutely unwell children on the ward including eating disorders. The service also offers outpatient services for a broad range of medical and neurodevelopmental needs of children aged from birth to 15 years of age. There is also the potential to develop in various general paediatric practices and expand your areas of interest. Applicants with an interest in the area of Eating Disorders are especially desirable.
We are closely connected with the tertiary-level medical, surgical, radiology and intensive care services provided within Starship Children's Hospital. General Paediatrics works within a multidisciplinary framework that includes Psychology, Allied Health, Hospital Play Specialists, Social Workers and clerical staff who work closely with the nursing and medical teams.
Nga Pukenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To apply for this role, you must be a New Zealand Registered Paediatrician with Vocational Registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate. The ability to work autonomously in a multi-cultural environment is essential.
