Mo te turanga - About the role
You will be part of a team working across a range of RACP accredited runs for both Basic and Advanced Training, which include the following:

General Medicine
Cardiology (includes one Fellow position
Renal
Endocrinology
Oncology
Respiratory
Haematology
Gastroenterology
Rheumatology
Older People's Health
Neurology
ICU

Dunedin Hospital offers the most extensive basic training programme designed to provide quality examination support, resulting in good FRACP pass rates. Examples of the support on offer include access to the Dunedin written and clinical courses, regular study groups, case preparation, and Saturday morning clinical sessions.
The best of both the clinical and academic worlds through extensive links to the University of Otago's Dunedin School of Medicine. Working closely with consultants, employed by both the School of Medicine and Health NZ - Te Whatu Ora- Southern you will have opportunities to link in with those at the forefront of research and/or teaching.
In a department that has a strong academic presence, opportunities for successful candidates will be far and wide, and will involve the ability to undertake research as part of training
Mou ake - About you
Our ideal candidate will have the following:

Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at www.mcnz.org.nz
You will be training towards a career as a Physician or wanting to gain experience in adult medicine towards a relevant career such as General Practice, Rural Hospital Medicine, Emergency, or Intensive Care
We are interested in hearing from RMOs with a minimum of two years' post qualification experience and who possess a keen interest in General Medicine
Advanced Trainees must have passed the FRACP and be deemed by the RACP as having advanced into this category of training

It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion. Utu whanui - Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of New Zealand Resident Doctors' Association and 20 DHB Multi Employer Collective 18 June 2024 - 31 July 2026 (NZRDA SECA) and Specialty Trainees of New Zealand and 20 District Health Boards Multi Employer Collective Agreement 14 February 2024 - 28 February 2026 (the STONZ SECA) and the salary will fall between $127,338 - $240,440 dependent on relevant experience.
