With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral have an exciting opportunity for a General Medicine Physician to join our service! You will join a diverse and dynamic Internal Medicine team of 13 physicians with a range of sub-specialties, providing medical services to our community.
Palmerston North Hospital is a 360 bed regional hospital in the lower North Island providing most medical and surgical specialties, excluding neurosurgery, plastics and cardiothoracic.
This role is made up of inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities as well as dedicated time reserved for administrative tasks.
You will also take part in an acute General Medicine on-call roster with registrar support. We are keen to hear from consultants with a broad internal medicine background who may be dual trained; our team will support your interest in the relevant service. We would be particularly interested in hearing from consultants with expertise in Rheumatology, Endocrine, and Infectious Diseases.
